Decent tools, long shipping

I bought a swivel knife and some edge bevelers. The tools themselves are good quality for the price, feel solid in hand, and have held up well after a few uses. The selection on the site is impressive too, especially for leathercraft. However, the shipping took a bit longer than I expected, around 7 business days to reach me in California, which felt a little slow. Packaging was good though, everything arrived safely. Customer service didn't need to be contacted, so can't comment there. Overall a positive experience, but quicker delivery would make it even better.

What's their return policy like, especially for leather hides? I'm worried about getting a hide and it not being quite what I expected. Will they take it back?

I returned some smaller tools once, it was pretty straightforward. For hides, I think it's a bit trickier because they're cut specifically? You should probably check their specific policy on cut leather, it might be different than tools.

Returns were easy for me, but it was a belt blank, not a full hide. I'm pretty sure their website says something about returns for hides being more limited if it's already cut. Best to read the fine print or email them directly just in case.

Anyone know if Zelikovitz ships to the US? Specifically trying to get some deerskin to Florida. How long does it usually take to get here?

They do ship to the US, I've had stuff sent to California before. Shipping time can vary, but I think it was like a week to 10 days for me? Maybe a bit longer for Florida since it's further south.

Yeah, they ship to the US. I got a small order of tools to New York pretty quick, like 5 business days. For hides, might be a day or two more but usually not too bad.

I've bought from both. Zelikovitz often has really good quality, especially their thicker stuff. Tandy can be hit or miss sometimes with their veg tan, depending on the batch. Price-wise, Zelikovitz can be slightly better for certain cuts, especially if you catch a sale or buy bulk.

It's a tough call, both are good. I find Zelikovitz has a more consistent quality for their hides. Tandy sometimes has better deals on certain tools, but for leather itself, I usually lean towards Zelikovitz if the pricing is comparable. Plus, free shipping over 100 at Zelikovitz is nice.
